VoicePlus Expands to Manage Laptop/Tablet Lifecycle for CCA
Studies published by the Australian Institute of Management and Australian Human Resources Institute put average staff turnover at 1420% per annum
Best Case Scenario
One in five of your corporate ICT devices is changing hands over the course of a year.
Worst Case Scenario
One in five of your corporate ICT devices is sitting unused and forgotten in a desk or has walked out the door with a departing employee!
VoicePlus is now managing a fleet of more than 1100 laptops and tablets for Coca-Cola Amatil.
VoicePlus supplies a range of services under its Control+ Lifecycle solution including:
Atrium SmartPortal & SmartFleet Register
The Atrium SmartPortal provides ICT visibility of each laptop or tablet. At the click of a mouse, 24/7, employees can view each device they have, any plan details, and billing or lease costs.
The Smart Fleet Register assigns each laptop and other mobility devices to an individual employee, building towards total transparency of an individual's ICT cost.
Device Staging, Set-Up, and MDM
In line with CCA's aim to create a self-service environment, a process supports each end user to set up their laptop and configure it with MDM tool, Airwatch.
Device Retrieval and Redeployment Program
VoicePlus Control+ software systemises the retrieval of devices from departing employees for redeployment within the business.
Building on the success of the Mobile Device Lifecycle Program, VoicePlus has added the laptop fleet into the automated program.
On a weekly basis CCA provides an update of its Human Resource listing for VoicePlus software to extract the data of employees departing the business or moving cost centres within the business.
A workflow of automated emails, combined with a dedicated page on the Atrium SmartPortal, manages the process of retrieving the device for redeployment elsewhere in the business.
The benefits are:
- Minimises the risk of devices being retained by departing employees
- Minimises the risk of devices lying dormant in desks
- Reduces the number of new devices being ordered
- Individual managers are required to assume responsibility for the devices held by their team
- Protects the integrity of cost centres
- Protects the integrity of the Asset Register
- Secures corporate information held on devices
